Transport Community Treaty Permanent Secretariat (TCT) and European Union Agency for Railways (ERA), organised six rail related workshops in each of the six Western Balkans partners (WB6)
Skopje, 10 December 2020: Transport Community Director Matej Zakonjšek, Minister of Transport and Communication Blagoj Bochvarski and European Commission Deputy Director-General Matthew Baldwin opened today an online workshop dedicated to Transport Community's Action Plans. Following the opening session, regional stakeholders engaged in discussions on how to kickstart implementation in North Macedonia.
The Permanent Secretariat of the Transport Community is planning to award the public contract for ICT Consulting Services.

Following adoption of four Action Plans at the Annual Ministerial Council on 26th October, Transport Community will present these strategic documents at workshops in each of the six regional partners during November and December.
26 October – Four Action Plans of the Transport Community Permanent Secretariat were unanimously endorsed at the Ministerial Council held today online. The key documents on rail, roads, road safety and transport facilitation are a step-by-step guide on how to achieve common political priorities of Western Balkans regional partners, as well as political objectives of the Transport Community Treaty. The documents form a base for Transport Community’s future engagement in the region.
26 October 2020 - Transport Community and Shift2Rail Joint Undertaking signed today a Memorandum of Understanding, whose objective is to promote cooperation on rail research and innovation. By cooperating, the two organisations will contribute to modernisation of the rail sector in the Western Balkans through deployment of new technologies and innovative solutions.
6 October 2020 - European Commission presented today its Economic and Investment Plan for Western Balkans. The plan presented by Commissioner Varhelyi, envisages unprecedented support of up to € 9 billion of funding for investment flagships in transport, energy, green and digital transition. As such, it paves the way to better integration of the Western Balkans transport markets into the EU, which will in turn offer new business opportunities and spur economic development.
The 7th edition of "Transport and Logistics of Southeast Europe and the Danube Region" conference took place today, 6 October 2020, at the Kombank Dvorana in Belgrade.
