Ukrainian authorities have successfully aligned their vehicle type-approval framework with European Union standards through the drafting of key technical regulations and a comprehensive regulatory impact assessment. To capitalise on these results, the Ministry for Recovery, Infrastructure and Transport of Ukraine should formally adopt the proposed legislation, execute the implementation roadmap, and strengthen administrative capacities to enforce strict safety and environmental standards on the market.
