ABOUT OBSERVING PARTICIPANTS

Technical Assistance for Observing Participants

The Transport Community provides targeted technical assistance to Georgia, the Republic of Moldova and Ukraine to support the alignment of their transport systems with EU policies, legislation and standards. This support helps national authorities translate policy priorities into practical measures, advance sectoral reforms and strengthen institutional capacities across all modes of transport, except air transport.

Technical assistance covers a range of activities, including legislative alignment, policy and strategy development, institutional reform, regulatory implementation and capacity-building. It is complemented by expert advice, tailored training and participation in Transport Community meetings and regional cooperation platforms, facilitating knowledge-sharing and the exchange of experience.

Through this support, the Transport Community helps observing participants address implementation challenges, strengthen transport governance, advance integration with the Trans-European Transport Network (TEN-T) and progress towards closer integration with the EU transport market.

Under the grant NDICI-GEO-NEAR 2023 452-688, eight (8) tailor-made technical assistance activities have been successfully implemented and completed.
